Why I built
Proposal Spots.
My name is Nicholas Bucchio. In 2024, I began planning a proposal to the woman who is now my fiancée.
I knew what I wanted: something private, something beautiful, something that felt genuinely considered. Not a restaurant with a dessert menu. Not a tourist landmark at peak hour. A real place — somewhere that felt worthy of the question.
What I found, when I started researching, was chaos. Travel blogs with no real curation. Instagram posts without any practical information. Hotels that listed "proposal packages" but couldn't tell me where the actual moment would happen. A staggering amount of advice that told me almost nothing useful.
"I wanted to know: where exactly do I stand, at what time of day, and what will she see when she turns around? That information didn't exist anywhere in one place."
So I started building it myself. I researched locations obsessively. I contacted local photographers, guides, and hotel coordinators. I mapped out timing, crowd patterns, access routes, and golden hour windows. I eventually found the right place — and she said yes.
Proposal Spots exists because that information should have been easier to find. Because the most important question of your life deserves better than a Google search and a travel blog. Because the men who care enough to plan this right deserve a resource that meets them at that standard.
Every spot on this platform has been evaluated with the same obsessive criteria I used when planning my own proposal. If it wouldn't have been right for that moment, it isn't on this list.
